Greetings from the Athens Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.! Thank you for visiting our website. It is an honor to serve as the President of the Athens Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.

Since its chartering on October 19, 1973, the Athens Alumnae Chapter has proudly served as a cornerstone of the Northeast Georgia community by providing impactful programs, scholarships, and community events, such as voter registration and education, youth mentoring, health fairs, financial workshops, scholarship galas, and many other events. In addition to programs and workshops, we are committed to investing in future leaders of our communities by awarding college scholarships each year to deserving graduating high school seniors.

As we embark on another biennium of impactful service and steadfast sisterhood, the Athens Alumnae Chapter is committed to "Building a Stronger Foundation of Sisterhood and Service in Our Communities." Through strategic initiatives, meaningful partnerships, and the collective dedication of our members, we aim to leave a lasting legacy that empowers and transforms lives. Our efforts are driven by the Sorority’s Five-Point Programmatic Thrust: Educational Development, Economic Development, International Awareness and Involvement, Physical and Mental Health, and Political Awareness and Involvement

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated was founded 112 years ago on January 13, 1913, by 22 visionary young women at Howard University. Rooted in a commitment to public service with a primary focus on the Black community, our organization has thrived into a global force of over 350,000 members and 1,000 chapters worldwide, dedicated to sisterhood, scholarship, service, and social action.
